Davies and Partners is delighted to announce that Matthew Verrier has qualified as a Solicitor, following the completion of his training contract with the Firm.
Matthew (pictured) has worked for Davies and Partners for five years, developing his career from an initial role as a Paralegal, before moving on to undertake his Training Contract with the Firm in 2020.
Within his period of training, Matthew undertook a nine-month seat, within the Employment Department, learning from the Firm’s highly respected and experienced team.
Having completed his training and qualifying in September 2022, Matthew has now joined the Employment team full time, where he will be advising clients in a wide range of industries including the care and education sectors, insurance and property development.
Matthew has already been involved in claims at both the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal, including discrimination claims, where he has provided clients with advice on matters such as employment contracts, disciplinary procedures and settlement agreements.
Matthew said, “I am extremely proud to have completed my training contract with Davies and Partners and to have learnt from some leading lawyers in their fields. I am now looking forward to progressing my career further with Davies and Partners over the coming years.”
Direct and Head of Employment, Nigel Tillott said, “We are delighted to have watched Matthew progress through the ranks. Qualifying as a Solicitor is a long and at times challenging process and Matthew has worked extremely hard and we would all like to congratulate him on reaching this final goal. We are delighted to welcome him as a Solicitor into the Employment Department, where he has already proved himself to be very able and a safe pair of hands. We are looking forward to continuing to work with him and for our clients to benefit from his many skills.”
